Dtg on the day, kite akan buat draw utk team...setiap org buat cabutan utk tgk dia masuk team mana, sama ada PERKASA, BERANI, TANGKAS atau GAGAH. Dah tu main la, round robin/league. Top 2 teams akan masuk final utk merebut Piala Tok Jinjang. Setiap 24-32 org akan mendapat mini-trophy. Air minuman pun disediakan.

Game shud be 7 minutes per half, with 1 ref.

13th Tournament...Sunday League, 24th December 2006

Dunno why it's called Sunday League, when the tourney is played in groups and knockout stages. Doesn't matter lar...Yg bezanya this tourney, tak main out...dat's a first.

Of coz expectations were not high for this tourney, as 7-9 other players were not available. Neways, the 19 teams (i tink) were divided into 4 grps of 5 or 4 teams each. We were in Grp A.

We played in the 1st set of 3 games. Our 1st game was against Sansa. While waiting for the opponents, ref tanya "You all dari Jinjang ker?" hehehe...As always, in the first game, we were disciplined. Forwards were upfront while defenders were where they needed to be. Pak Lah opened the scoring with a trademark powerful shot. That calmed the nerves a bit. The second goal was scored by Wafi, with a cool finish. His first goal in 11 months for Tok Jinjang! The last time he found the net was in our first tourney of 2006. And did he celebrate...hehehe...Sansa pulled one back after a misunderstanding between Matad and Wafi. Matad was trying to clear the ball but it hit Wafi and the rebound fell nicely for Sansa and I was unprepared for the snapshot dat followed. 2-1 and dat's how it finished.

Our 2nd game was played more than an hour later, in the 6th set of games. Way too long a rest, methinks. Neways, 2nd game, against E-epro. A bunch of kids, who were whacked 1-4 by Sansa so mebbe some of thought this was an ez game. Tp diorang yg skor dulu, early in the game. It was 2 on 1 with no defenders covering and just like dat, we were behind. We equalized when they scored an own goal and took the lead when Pak Lah scored. Try as we might, we couldn't get an extra goal but I was more concerned with the defending. And then, with the very last move of the game, they scored again, thru similar circumstances, no defenders covering. Final score 2-2. IMHO, kite gak silap coz kite ikut tempo diorang...diorang muda lagi, so stamina lebih, walhal kita pun nak main laju, dpt corner, free kick sumer nak amik cepat2. padahal masa corner and free kick tu, diorang dekat2, sumer dia block...we shud have asked the ref to pull them back.

Our third game was in the very next set!! Mula2 too long a rest, and now too short...Adush...Lwn Kalvin Karden...Dlm game ni, kite byk main long ball from me direct to their goal, most of the time targetting Omaq. And early in the game, I tot we scored using this tactic, but ref said Omaq was pushing. But we didn't wait long before we did score, using the same tactic. A long ball from me found Omaq's head and the ball went in...yahoo...I have returned the favour from Piala Tok Jinjang when Omaq was goalie and he threw the ball to me for me to head into the goal. hahaha.. This was only Omaq's 2nd appearance for Tok Jinjang and the previous one was for goalie for Team B. Good 4 u Omaq. However, kitorg x dpt sustain pace, and these machas were fast and furious, main rembat from almost every opportunity and they scored 3 goals. I have to say I was culpable to some extent for their last 2 goals. Final result, 1-3.

Last grp game mesti menang klu berharap nak masuk quarters. Game dlm set ke10...lwn Pantai Permai 1 yg menang sumer game sebelum ni. Nampak sgt diorang x all out, tp still too good for us. They scored 1st when a thru ball found its way into the danger zone. Yot, their attacker and me all went for it and tiga-tiga tumbang, tp ntah camana bola masuk gak empty net. Ref kata nak bg foul mula2, tp dia bg advantage and allow the goal. Pas tu diorg score lagi b4 Omaq replied. Then, in our search for the equalizer, sumer org naik and I was exposed again, 3 on 1 and they duly scored. We, esp Bgkai, didn't give up and in our last attack, from Yot's free-kick, Bgkai glanced a header into goal and celebrated by running and pointing the back of his jersey..hehehe...1st competitive goal for Tok Jinjang. Final result 2-3.

Summary:
Altho a weakened squad, kitorang x memalukan jersey baru...hehehe...with a little more luck and a bit more stamina (and discipline) , we wud have gone further in the tourney. A few of the goals yg kite concede were unlucky to us, where I already reached the ball b4 the attacker, but somehow the rebounds were kind to them. Altho Yot did not score, he was the only one who could keep the ball longer than 3 seconds and he was an unsung hero. Matad pun main bagus, byk kaco diorang, altho dia klu boleh x nak aku passing kat dia...Bgkai pun sama. Hahaha...At any rate, I trust we all had fun and Tok Jinjang is maintaining it's clean and frenly reputation. Not for the 1st time, ada org lain nak pinjam my spare gloves.

Masa balik rumah, baru perasan jari tengah kiri aku bengkak, sakit giler, x tau nampak x dlm gambar ni...aku nak cuti dari jadi keeper for a while...yg bosannya, injured masa warmup, bukan masa lwn...

Tourney on Sunday, 24th Dec

This Sunday we will be entering a tournament again after a long break. Seriously under-strength, in Matad's words "tak balance, no dribblers or playmaker!All workhorse,mana creativity?" Hehe..We'll just give it a shot, at least to show off our new jerseys..wakakaka... Btw, the players are Pak Lah, Yot, Omaq, Matad, Bgkai, Wafi and Embi.

BBQ and jersey distribution, 9th Dec 2006

Alhamdulillah, last2 jadi gak plan kite nak buat BBQ...elok2 disekalikan dgn pemberian jersi baru.

Matad collected our spanking new jerseys and brought them to our kickabout...the jerseys look smart haa? hehe

3 players received their jerseys that nite, coz they confirmed diorang x dpt hadir ke majlis BBQ.

After a long break, we're itching for action!!!

We had a meeting, and 3 things have been proposed.
1. We would like to enter the currently ongoing Liga Premier NPNG. It has already started so if we were to join, we would be playing 2 games a nite/week to catch up with the other teams. We have a big condition though. We can't be sure we can have 10-12 players who can commit to each week, so we're telling the organizer that we have a large squad, mebbe 15-20 players, but only 7-10 players will be coming each week. I'm almost sure this is acceptable. The new payment format is also a pulling factor. For the last season, each team was asked to pay for the entire season at one go, or maybe 2 installments. But for this edition, teams are asked to pay just before they play each week, which is much fairer since only those who play will pay. Another good thing is, more of us will get a chance to play competitive futsal.
2. Tok Jinjang BBQ. This has been postponed a few times. We hope to finally have it in this Syawal month, but if we're not able to, it's ok. Anytime also can. We have some money in hand and we plan to collect a few more ringgit from each guy (as a commitment bond) and we will definitely have it soon, InsyaAllah.
3. Jersey. We're gonna get new jerseys. Our current ones are more than 2 yrs old. Hopefully, the jerseys will be ready in time for the BBQ. Hehehe...

Frenly lwn Superstar, team yg kite kenal dr Liga Premier NPNG. Diorang masuk liga "musim baru" ni, yg start main bulan posa ni, so diorang perlu match practice laaa...ajak Tok Jinjang. Tok Jinjang x nak masuk liga musim baru ni...main kul 9 bulan posa camana?

Yg dtg elok2 5 org jer, Badar, Bidin, Bob, Embi and Pakcik...so main full time laa...sumer merasa jadi keeper kecuali Bidin (tau la kuat stamina) and sumer org score kecuali aku (bob aaa, x nak passing)...

best2...ada masa passing mmg cantik....score mcm biasa laa, x tau, tp rasenya kite menang...fun and clean game.

At least 3 org ckp aku gile ajak frenly ngan Waikiki, altho actually Mr Philip Wong yg ajak after we chatted awhile online.

Of coz, we lost the game. Only 2 of us scored, Bidin (4 atau 5 gol) and Pakcik (4 gol). Diorang score ntah brp ntah...tp mmg puas hati main lwn team mcm tu...So thank u Philip and Waikiki, we all mmg nak improve by playing good teams.

Btw, apparently i'm a better defender than a goalie...

Yg x bestnyer dtg jauh2 utk knockout stage ni ialah main skali dah tu balik..and dat's wat happened.

Sampai2 jer, Badar ckp x cukup org...ramai x dpt dtg...dah last minit mana nak cekau...yg kompem Badar, Bidin and me, Pakcik pulak jauh lagi, makna kene cari sorang lagi...Bangkai was the only one who was able to answer our emergency call...elok2 laaa 5 org, takde sub...

dah tu first game kite lak tu...Bangkai and Pakcik x sampai lagi...diorang sampai jer terus main...and lwn kite ialah team yg kuat dari group A ari tu...yg Popai gelar team John Terry coz last man dia main bagus mcm John Terry. Plus keeper dia bagus, mmg aku prasan masa group stage tu...elok2 lak lwn team tu...cis...tp John Terry x main..

Neways, we lost 1-3, Bidin scoring our consolation to make it 1-2. Penat beb, takde sub. 2 gol diorang gol rembat bile takde org cover...first goal pulak bola muntah...Bangkai ingat aku nak tangkap lagi bola muntah tu, aku lak ingat dia nak clear...adus...

Summary:

We can take some positives. Bidin bole main atas!! pas ni dia x nak main back dah kot...hahaha...Mmg byk chances smlm, sampe keeper dia pun sound players dia.."main betul2 laa". Pakcik and Bidin byk pressure diorang punya back...tu yg byk chances tu...tp nasib takde laa..Lepas game, borak2 ngan diorang jap..rupenya diorang pernah champ in one of the earlier edition, last year punyer..ooo..betul la Adi ckp, diorang ni terer giler, otai sumer...

Asked for a frenly game, and Newstar Pro FC contacted us. Game was arranged to be at 10pm at Newstar Pro Sports Centre.

They whacked us by too-many-to-count to 8. Our goals were scored by Bidin (3), Manteck (3), Pakcik and Wan. They scored 7 or 8 before we broke our duck. I'm pretty sure they scored less than 20 though.

Kalah tu biasala..plus kita x biasa main kat artificial grass (x tau pun, 1st time pi situ)...diorang pakai boot kan? Ejan tu mmg kerje kat situ, hari2 main...

yg terkejut sket, b4 game bile dibgtau sapa kalah, bayar lebih..ooo..lain kali tau laa..ingat 50-50. neways, thanks to Newstar Pro. semoga berjumpa lagi...

12th Tournament...Lord of the Court, August Edition, 9th September 2006

List of Players : Bidin, Bob, Embi, Manteck, Pakcik and Wan.

First thought this edition was the September one, brought forward because of the coming Ramadan, and we tot the August one was last week. For this edition, only 5 teams registered, so the league format was used again.

First game, lwn ACR. Result, 4-4. Scorers were Manteck (2), Pakcik and Wan. Sayang, coz it could have gone either way, and we also scored first (again), but still...aiyo...I have to take some of the blame for some (or all?) of the goals we conceded.

Next up, New Boys. (Tomok?) Result, another draw, 2-2. Goals scored by Bob and Pakcik. This game we really should have won. Mebbe gol kedua diorang salah aku, tp kite byk betul chances nak score...geram betul.

Sementara menunggu game seterusnya, Badar, Anuar and Murad sampai, utk urusan jual beli team dengarnya...

3rd game. NPNG Juniors. Game paling menyakitkan hati. We led 3-1, but still lost 3-4! Ni kalu org nak blame aku, aku rasa mmg tak patut laa..aku rase aku lagi byk save dr bolos. Last goal diorang tu, mcm biasa laa..sumer org naik...With this loss, we were out of the medals. Adus...Our scorers were Wan, Manteck and Pakcik.

Last game lwn team baru jugak, ARC, yg tiada kaitan ngan ACR. Nasib baik takde team CAR, atau RAC...hehehe...sapa kalah game ni dpt nombor 5. Keputusannya, kite kalah 0-1. Ni pun keeper (aku la) byk save. Dlm game ni, mcm kite dah give-up. Tak score pun, kad kuning dpt laa, thru Manteck.

Hasilnya, urusan jual beli team gagal...hahaha...

Lepas game, lepak kat mahbub (bukan nak mabuk) kat damansara damai. Post-mortem yg paling lama dan rasenya paling berfaedah...bincang pasal kesilapan2 team, kelemahan2 keeper,
(ish) dan yg berkaitan. Selepas berbincang, adalah diputuskan bhw Tok Jinjang FC akan berhenti masuk tourney buat sementara waktu dan konsentret pada frenly game pulak utk improve. Tentatively, we will have one on Wednesday nite.

Summary:
Nombor 5 (dr 5 team) mcm sayur giler, tp hakikatnye tak. Against ACR and Jrs, kite leading. Lwn New Boyz x ingat lak, kite ada leading tak, rasenya ada, tp apa2 pun, dlm game lwn New Boyz tu mmg byk giler chance...Mmg boleh paham laa perasaan Bidin and Wan yg main kat bwh. Diorang naik coz geram. Last game tu pulak, dah xde smgt.

11th Tournament...Pertandingan Futsal Anjuran UMNO Bahagian Hulu Langat (Group Stage), 3rd September 2006

Tourney : Pertandingan Futsal Anjuran UMNO Bahagian Hulu Langat (Group Stage)
Venue : Kicksports, Taman Jasmin, Kajang
Date : 3rd September 2006

List of Players : Badar, Embi, Nuar (protege), Pakcik, Pak Lah and Popai (mentor). For the 1st time, Bob didn't play.
Again, we represented the TAMAN RAKAN branch in this tourney and managed by Adi.

This tourney is being held on 3 consecutive Sundays, where the first 2 Sundays are group games followed by the knockout stages on the last Sunday. So we were to play 3 games today, no matter what.

Our first group game was against Sri Puding B. We lost 2-5, where our scorers were Popai and Pakcik. It was obvious yg ketiadaan bek yg establish cam Wan, Bidin, Matad, Bangkai etc... mmg menyebabkan team kelam-kabut. This big loss means we need to win the other 2 games.

2nd group game was against GB4B Indah Jaya. We won 3-2, but not without some heart-stopping moments. Scorers were Pak Lah (2) and Pakcik. We played with 2 defenders, with our top striker Pak Lah playing alongside Badar and he did very well.

Last game was against Kampung Jawa A. In the earlier tournament, we played to a 2-2 draw against Kg Jawa. This time, we were both fighting for the last slot. A draw would be good enuff for them while we needed a win. They scored 1st and the score was 0-1 til half-time. Early in the second half, Popai miskicked a kick-in and they scored their 2nd. 0-2 and that should have been it. However, to everyone's surprise we played better after that and Pakcik scored a hattrick for the final scoreline of 3-2. Yahoo, we qualified. Alhamdulillah.

It has to be said, generally, ganas betul players kat tourney ni. Kat pitch 1 brp kali gaduh, and brp kad yg dilayang, both red and yellow. Pakcik beberapa kali jadi mangsa. x dpt bola, kaki pun bole, bola jauh dr player, tp tarik badan player, bukan kejar bola..waduh...

Meanwhile, Popai gave me a short lecture on how I could improve, which I appreciate very much. I'm still learning...

So in 2 weeks we will be back, hopefully with a stronger team.

Summary:
Wat a turnaround. Getting thrashed in the first game and coming back from 2 goals down in the last game to clinch the last remaining slot for the knockout stages was great. Strong character shown. Congrats all.

10th Tournament...Friends in Futsal Invitational 2nd Edition, 19th August 2006

List of Players : Azhar, Azman, Bahar, Bangkai, Bob, Embi, Manteck, Matad, Pakcik, Pak Lah and Yot.

Azhar, Matad's fren is apparently the new first choice keeper..hahaha..Meanwhile Azman is a fellow Gooner who was supposed to send a team of his own, but cancelled, so I roped him in..more on this later.

Ladies category..4 teams took part.
User Friendly, No Name, Bonito A and Bonito B.

User Friendly and No Name reached the final where User Friendly emerged champions.

Men's category..8 teams took part
Jenan98, Tok Jinjang A, Tok Jinjang B, Duang FC, Sayur FC, You Sure or Not FC, King Raptor and De Calcio.

Jenan98 beat Tok Jinjang A in the final. Meanwhile, Duang FC beat Sayur FC to finish 3rd.

Congrats to the champions and everyone who made it a worthwhile event. Thanks a million from us and sorry for segala kekurangan.

There are some things I would like to explain/clarify/story to everyone.

1. From the very first day the concept of this tournament was thought of, for FIFI 1, it was always meant to be an event where frens meet and have fun futsalling. A lady fren of mine suggested it and my team agreed and so we organized FIFI 1. Because of the nature of this tourney, prizes mmg x gempak laa, so hopefully, takde org will talk about how lousy the prizes are...mmg diakui lousy, tak payah ckp lagi..hehehe..kat entry form pun kite ada ckp prize apa kan? tp lousy2 pun, i know some ppl appreciate them...dlm tourney cam ni, hadiah x penting...yg penting kite boleh rasa the thrill of competition and kite x tunggu lama2, cam most other tourneys.. jauh lebih lama tunggu dari main. i also worry ppl tink we do this for money...i assure u, kitorang takde untung pun. we all dah organize 3 tourneys, all 3 pun rugi.

2. Also because of the nature of this tourney, we all not that strict. What User Friendly brought up, about the player(s) play for both Bonito A and B teams is correct. that shudn't have happened, but wat can we all do..x kan nak kick them out kan, coz dat wud defeat the purpose of the tourney..but again, User Friendly is correct. hopefully, in the next tourney (kalu ada, InsyaAllah) hopefully, takde org buat cam tu laa..but Bonito dah mintak maap kan, so it's a non-issue.

hehe..tp kan, Tok Jinjang pun buat camtu..tp x sengaja laa...on Friday, in the men's category ada 7 confirmed teams and 2 maybes, tgk2 both those mebbe teams kensel ptg friday tu jugak... cilakak, mana nak cekau satu team lagi ni..nak cukupkan 8 team gak, Tok Jinjang kene antar 2 team laa..tp sebab last minit sgt, x cukup org. we cud only scrounge 8 players. Azman bukan Tok Jinjang, tp he was from one of those teams who cancelled, so I asked him to come. Bahar and Pakcik pulak, cudn't come earlier coz ada kerje. So nak x nak, kenelah some of us play for both teams, A and B. Tapi x jadi isu, coz lelaki lain, pompuan lain..hehe...jgn marah..

3. Pasal ref...kite ada jadual, tp kalu ref rehat lama ker makan ker, camna nak ikut jadual ek? takkan nak marah dia..dah tu pasal ref buat mistake, at least twice pasal score..2-5 dia kata 2-6. tu ok lagi..tp 3-3 dia kata 3-4? adus..isu besar tu. i feel the main problem is kite x communicate ngan ref..patutnya dia tulis kan score, tp dia x tulis..apparently dia ingat kitorang kat luar yg keep score, tp kite kat luar pun kelam-kabut, coz kitorang pun main kan? so this ada kaitan ngan isu kat atas laa...plan asalnyer at least 2 of us don't play, 100% jadi urusetia, tp dah terpaksa main..tu yg kelam kabut tu. neways, i still need to apologise to YSON for the mix-up. tp my mates pun bengang jugak ngan ref tu, masa tu laa..pas tu everything ok.

4. Ada satu team ni main 2 game, kalah, dah tu blah...entry fee pun x bayar lagi..this really saddens me coz dat team ada my gud frens...apa-apa pun, aku kene tagih entry fee tu gak, hopefully u will pay, but i won't ask again. team tu pulak main kasar, sampe ref pun dia sound, and nak gaduh ngan team lain...wadus...this defeats the purpose of FIFI..Friends in Futsal...mebbe dia ingat FIFI tu FOES in Futsal..sori ek geng..teguran ikhlas ni.

5. To all teams (INCLUDING YG CANCEL!!!), ada sebabnyer kite mintak bayar the entry fee awal, not on the day itself. i reiterate this many times, but only 3 teams did pay earlier. tu yg boleh last minit cancel tu and tok jinjang kene antar 2 team, which led to other problems. hopefully next time bole bayar awal...this tourney bukan open punya, tak kisah brp team masuk..kite dah set format mesti 8/4 team masuk, so bile ada cancellation..payahler..

6. This one specially goes out to the ladies...From our experience from FIFI 1 and 2, the ladies have one peculiar thing. Bile kite tanya guys "Nak masuk tourney tak?", the 1st thing they ask is "Bile?"..Ladies bile kite tanya tu, they first ask "apa hadiah?" Waduh, so when they hear of how lousy/unattractive the prize is, they're reluctant. As we mentioned before, bukan kite x bole buat tourney utk lelaki saja. Tapi kan, FIFI 1 was suggested by a lady fren and she promised me dat she wud look for the ladies teams, but in the end, her team pun x masuk and she cudn't find any other teams. Time tu everything dah confirm, hadiah, venue, ref, so I had to look for the ladies teams.

Masa tu we all ingat coz last minit sgt, so susah nak dpt team, tp FIFI 2 kita dah ngtau 1 month in advance and still we had problems. Another lady fren (x payah sebut nama) told me in the beginning, alaa takat 8 team tu, senang jer..tp in the end, 4 team pun payah giler..i'm not blaming this fren, coz i know she tried very hard, but she also faced the same problem as me,
most girls tgk hadiah dulu.

I'm sorry if this is not correct, but this is wat i experienced. i'll be happy if there are many ladies teams out there who want to prove me wrong, then mebbe FIFI 3 will still have a ladies category. For the time being, x sure, yg kite plan guys team ada mebbe 12, tp pompuan, tatau laa...

guys lain..they more willing to enter this type of frenly tourneys coz they don't look at prizes first..they want to enter tourneys for fun, test power, improve as a team...

another thing is, kalu diperati, all the guys teams dr FIFI 1 came back for FIFI 2, tp the ladies? 1 team pun x dtg balik...wat does this mean to u?

Summary...
due to the "kelam kabutness" of organising the event and having to field 2 teams when we didn't have enuff players, we were unable to play to our true capabilites. We barely had enuff to field 1 strong team, and wat strength we had was diluted even more when we had to field 2. Byk org senak ooo, letih main utk 2 team. Also, we are unable to give the goals statistics (at least for now) and all I remember is Azhar keeping a clean sheet in the semis and almost achieving it again in the final itself.
